CREDAI-Pune conducted Interactive Workshop on Labour Registration and Welfare Benefits under BOCW for HR/Admin/Legal/Project Staff of its Develo

CREDAI-Pune through Labour Welfare Committee undertook a special Interactive Workshop on Labour Registration and Welfare Benefits under BOCW for HR/Admin/Legal/Project Staff of its Developers at CREDAI-Pune Office on Thursday, 10th Oct, 2019 at 3 p.m. and there was overwhelming response, almost 70 plus representatives took the benefit of the same.

 

Mr.J.P.Shroff, Chairman Kushal and Labour Welfare Committee, Mr. Parag Patil, Convenor, Mr. Milind Talathi, Mr.Yash Bhandari, Mrs.Sapna Rathi, Mrs. Leena Kukreja, Mr. Kunal Chug, Mr. Alok Sheth, Labour Welfare Committee Members and Dr.D.K.Abhyankar, Director General CREDAI-Pune and Mr.Samir Parkhi, Admin & Labour Welfare Officer were present for this workshop.

 

The main objective of this workshop was to collect the data of labour registration and disbursement of welfare benefits,  and to understand the Issues/Hurdles faced by the developer’s staff and suggestions if any.

 

Mr. J.P.Shroff and other committee members shared their views and experience appealed to the present members to initiative the labour registration process for safeguarding the interest of labours in case of accidents/mishaps and almost 28 welfare benefits are available for registered labours categorized into Financial, Safety, Medical and Education. It was further appealed that all should provide regularly the data of labour registration made and benefits taken to CREDAI-Pune to approach labour department for pending issues and things.

 

There was separate session for Question and Answers and following issues like pending labour registration and welfare benefits, non labour registration during code of conduct and consequences, Online Registration/Single Window Clearance, Labour Registration- Enforceability of Act or Social Binding etc have been discussed during this session and answered by the committee members.

 

It was decided that such type of interactive workshops will be conducted quarterly to boost the Labour Registration Drive and awareness regarding Labour Welfare Benefits under BOCW
