For purpose of maintaining good health of the construction workers and their families, CREDAI-Pune jointly with Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and National Health Mission have organised this initiative. The Health check-up camp was initiated on The Gangadham Towers Site of Goel Ganga Group at Bibvewadi on Friday, 8th June, 2018. Atul Goel & Amit Goel, Director Goel Ganga Group, Mr. Uday Patil, HR Head, Dr. D.K.Abhyankar, Director General, CREDAI Pune, U.K.Julka, General Manager, CREDAI-Pune, J.P.Shroff, Chairman Labour Welfare Committee, Parag Patil, Mukesh Gada, Indraneel Mujgule Labour Welfare Committee Members, Samir Parkhi, Labour Welfare Officer, Mr.Santosh Takbhate, Admin, Dr.Kalpana Baliwant, AMOH, PMC, Dr. Ketaki Ghatge, Associate health officer and Joint-Secretary, National Urban Health mission, Dr. Amit Shah, Immunisation Officer & Mr.Vinod Jadhav, Co-ordinating officer PMC were present on the occasion.

 

Health Checkup of total of 150 Plus workers were done in the Health check-up camp.  Apart from routine health check-up, adults were injected for tetanus.

 

Dr. Kalpana Baliwant, AMOH, PMC stated, "Workers have to go to various construction sites. Thus, the dose of vaccination of their children is not completed because of which they are prone to various diseases. Such camps are the need to of the hour to address and solve these problems."

 

Dr. Ketki Ghatge & Dr.Amit Shah expressed the vision, mission and activities of Pune Municipal Corporation Health Dept and expressed thanks to Goel Ganga Group and CREDA-Pune for arranging such nice health check-up camp for constructions labours.

 

J.P.Shroff, Chairman Labour Welfare Committee briefed that CREDAI- Pune through Labour Welfare Committee discharges various corporate social responsibilities directly and through its members Viz. Health Checkup Camp, Creches, Immunization Programs, Schools for the children of the labours working at construction sites. He expressed that Labour should come forward and take benefit of all these Schemes and benefits provided by Government. He reciprocated special thanks to Mr.Atul Goel, Goel, Director of Ganga Group for this wonderful health check-up initiative.

 

Atul Goel, Director Goel Ganga Group who was the host expressed, "Goel Ganga Group has always been proactive in implementing Labour Welfare activities initiated by CREDAI-Pune through Labour Welfare Committee and Pune Municipal Corporation. He further expressed that J.P.Shroff has done a lot of social and welfare work for the prosperity and betterment of construction workers. We will continue to implement such initiatives to resolve the issues like Health, frequent migration of workers, child education, and safety at workplace.

 

Amit Goel, Director Goel Ganga Group also expressed his views about the Health Check-up Camp and appreciated such joint initiative of PMC & CREDAI-Pune. Parag Patil, Labour Welfare Committee member proposed vote of thanks to all dignitaries.
