On the occasion of World Skill Youth Day celebrated on 15th July, the India Skill Competition was organised at the Pragati Maidan, Delhi. In the Pre-national  Competition held at Pune  8 candidates for Tiling and 8 candidates for Bricklaying were selected to participate in the Contest jointly organised by CREDAI  National. These Pune candidates proved their skills in National contest also.

Dashrath Netam was declared winner in Bricklaying and in Wall & Floor Tiling Sunil Narayan Rathod was declared winner, both are Gold Medallist in their respective categories. Sabavath Sanjiv Kumar being 1st Runner Up  in Wall & Floor Tiling. Gold Medallist got Cash Prize of Rs. 1 Lakh individually. In Wall and Floor Tiling - Mr.Sanjiv Kumar Sabavath and  Brick Laying -  Rahim Momin were Runners Up and received Rs. 75,000/- Cash Prize. There was tie between Shailendra Chavan, Nusaruddin Shaikh for Wall and Floor Tiling and for Brick Laying tie between Ms. Nagma Shaikh and Taukir Ansari  both got the Bronze medal and Rs. 25,000/- Cash Prize.  The Prize Distribution ceremony was convened at the hands of  Mr Rajiv Pratap Rudy - Minister of State (Independent Charge) Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Mr Jitubhai Thakkar EC Member CREDAI National. Mr. J P Shroff lauding efforts of winners expressed that they shall be trying to win Gold for India at 44th World Skill Competition at Abu Dhabi, UAE to be held in October 2017 and we shall ensure that Kushal shall take special efforts on the Winners at India Skills, 2016 so that they come with Medal winning performance.
